RudolfAs long as I can think, relationships have fascinated me, as well as mindfulness, awareness and conscious choices. Gestalt Therapy is my main modality, and I am a lover of life.

I have been a founder and trainer at the “Integrative Gestalt Centre” in Christchurch, and tutor and director of the counselling faculty of the “College of Natural Medicine”. Apart from 35 years experience as group facilitator, counsellor, therapist, supervisor and trainer, I embrace the vibrant learning that living with my wife and life partner Mirjam involves. What I can offer is the result of the accumulation of studies, experience and practical learning.

The most far reaching decision I have ever made was to become my own best friend and to develop a loving connection between my inner child and adult. This then is reflected in my loving connection with others.

“Be gentle with yourself, learn to love yourself, to forgive yourself, for only as we have the right attitude toward ourselves can we have the right attitude toward others.” – Wilfred Peterson

Four years ago, I joined the Baha’i Faith and have since been keen to explore what it means to live a Baha’i life, and what “unity in diversity” looks like in practice.

M.Ed. is my university degree from “Freie Universitet Berlin”, specialising in Adult Education.

I have been a member of NZAC (New Zealand Association of Counselling), an ACC approved counsellor and a counsellor for the Family Court since 1990, as well as a Clinical member of GANZ (Gestalt Australia New Zealand and guest trainer at numerous Australian Gestalt Institutes.
